Ribbons are back on trend, and adding a luxurious touch with multiple varieties is easy when you know how.

There are so many different types of ribbon, sheer, double-sided, textural, some with wire, some without. The key is to find an assortment you love, mix-and-match textures, sizes, and colors.

As you begin, choose what you want to be the center of your bow. I'm going to use the sheer wired, pull off some, leaving a bit of a tail, then I loop it around my thumb, creating a center loop, and then creating three more loops, all the same size, fanning out around that center, so that gives me a total of seven loops and a nice little center to the bow. Give that a cut, set it aside, and pick your next ribbon. Just add that into your hand, letting the tails come out, and then start looping, determining how many you want. There's one on each side, two and three. Looks like a good size for this. Giving it a cut, and then using a 22-gauge wire, slide it through that center loop, pull it to the back, get everything in place and twist it tautly.

Set that first part aside and take your next ribbon. For this I've got the textural, so lovely, and start looping it. You might want tails, maybe not, in a loop. Then when you have it all together, go ahead and wire that off, securing it so that it's ready to go.

Last step, take the two components, place them together, twist those wires to secure it, and then using corsage tape, just go right ahead and tape it all together for a polished finish.
